Next weekend would be the "Hari Wanita GMSB". Insyaallah, I would be coming because Hajar, as usual, would be taking part in the colouring contest, not really colouring la, but painting the batik... it must be fun...

It was so nice knowing that someone, infact everyone around us, got to remember our birthday. Isn't it? Agree with me my friends? That was true friendship.. We, in Gas Malaysia has longed practising celebrating our collegues birthdays. Isn't that nice? While working, we would just arrange a quick get-together among friends within the same department or the same working place. I just love the idea of having such an occasion simply because ... of course.. we got to taste delicious cake...

I also remember Marzuqi (not in any of the photos, where were you?) was saying that after eating the cake... we have to go for a 2-round jog in order to get rid of the cholesterol... Thank you for the advice... and don't forget to invite me in the future...

Once again, I wish HAPPY BIRTHDAY, may Allah bless all of us.

Guava la jugak..

Since yesterday, our colleague started selling sliced guava with asam boi. All freshly cut and nicely packed together with serbuk asam boi. She put all the packed guavas inside the fridge in the pantry. Just imagine you are indulging in the chilled guava with nice sweet and sour serbuk asam boi. Sedapnyaaa! Lupa pulak, she also sell guava juice with asam boi serbuk or without the serbuk. I prefer the one with the serbuk asam. Sedapnyaaaa.....

Tapikan have you ever eaten a pink guava? I still remember when I was small, there's a pokok jambu with the pink inner seed.. Kalau yang biasa kita makan tu is putih inside but this one is pink inside tempat biji-biji tu. I tell you... sedap nya... and the colour inside, of course! it's pink...

The pink guava tree is generally just the same as the pokok jambu yang putih kat dalam tu. There was a pink guava tree infront of my arwah Lang I in kampung kat Jitra. Sekarang ni jangan kan kata pokok, batang pokok ke akar pokok pun dah tak de lagi sebab tapak rumah and sebahagian kampung tu dah jadi Pekan Jitra 2 sekarang ni. If you happen to pass by the town on your way to Bukit Kayu Hitam or to Kuala Perlis ikut jalan biasa not highway, kat situ lah pokok jambu pink tu...

So... merah jambu does exist and the colour of pink ikut pink guava punya color lah. Got what I meant? enough about jambu... I just finished up the guava juice... sedapnya kalau ditambah asam boi serbuk tu... dan harganya cuma RM1.50... Today I just beli the guava juice not the guava with asam boi sebabnya yesterday I bought 2 packs! Bagus jugak I guess sebab bolehlah tak banyak sikit detox my body.. konon...

Today's ... Friday... during lunch hour we have kelas fardhu Ain.. conducted by a Ustazah... started from last year lagi on Friday afternoon from 1.00 p.m to 2.30 p.m. This is organised by the Wanita committee of GMSB Sport Club... lunch provided lagi.. just be there and what a barakah Friday... penghulu segala hari. Wassalam...

p/s I bought another cup of guava juice... sshhhhh...

Fried Meehoon with Prawn and Desperate Housewives

I memang berhajat sangat nak bawak bekal lagi to office... I planned the night before, bangun awal sikit, nak buat scramble egg la konon. Sedapnya makan dengan roti...

But Hajar also the night before suruh buat cekodok... ok lah mama buat cekodok lepas tu buat scramble egg...

But this morning, as usual my alarm rang at 5.40 a.m. but I only got out the bed at 6.10 a.m. Terus masuk bathroom, ambil wuduk and after subuh prayer baru turun ke kitchen and buat cekodok for Hajar. Sarah dah bangun and mandi and after that Nadia also got up. Nadia sekolah petang. But nowaday she would get up earlier and do some revision after solat subuh. She gonna sit for the PMR this October.

By the time sudah masak cekodok dah 6.35 a.m. La.... nampak gayanya tak sempatlah nak buat scramble egg.. Terus mandi and after that kejutkan Hajar... Punyalah susah...nak bangun... She would prefer that I donned her hair like the biscuit Julie's tu... ikat dua... tapi dah lambat bangun... ikat satu je.

I reached office around 8.20 a.m. terus ke cafe and bought myself meehoon goreng and fried chicken and telur mata kerbau with a bit of sambal.. a bit unhealthy oily breakfast... but nevermind belasah je... dah lapar... Our tealady buat teh tarik... another unhealthy drink... I drank full mug... terus rasa kenyang... tak lalu makan meehoon dah... ada pulak seorang umat sedekah sebungkus nasi lemak.

During lunch hour... I stayed at my workstation... finished up the unfinished meehoon and yet to touch nasi lemak free. Malangnya nasi lemak macam nak basi terus hilang selera... I ended up makan meehoon je...

We have department meeting at 2.30 p.m. So ada some refreshment being served. Today the secreatary served us the home-made blueberry cheese tart and popia and also samosa. The last two mentioned kuih sedap but not the first one. Ooops.... memang kureng la...

Meeting ended at 5.00 p.m. Solat asar and it was 5.30 boleh balik... Keluar office at 6.40 p.m. and sampai Seremban 7.15 p.m. kena rushed home sebab Nadia ada tuition tonite.

What's for dinner? My husband said ... beli udang... goreng meehoon... what! meehoon lagi!? I said (dalam hati la...) OK lah I fried my own home-fried meehoon with prawn and egg. Sedap (perasan!)... I ate two full plate. Alright! it was a meehoon day for me. After cleaning up all the dishes it was time for Desperate Housewives... I never missed the series season after season...

Which character of the housewives would you be? I wonder ... Bree, Susan, Lynette, Gabrielle or Edie... Mrs McClusky?!... Oh no!....

In the office...

Today is my third day in my new section.. banyak kerja... and alhamdulillah my clerk has came back to work after two days leave. I need him to clarify certain issues and update me on the outstanding work.


I felt so alhamdulillah because dalam I terkial-kial with my new job, ada pulak seorang kawan yang nak tolong.. actually he was in the same position as what I am now..

So... apa lagi... took notes from the mentor.. I terus buat flowchart and learn from the expert. That was how I learn new things....

My first day...

My first day at work .. in a new section... and both my clerks are on leave or should I say one in on leave and the other is missing or EL or MC I guess.. What a challenge!!

What did I do? During the first hour, my boss called and given me two documents and asked me to re-evaluate the job scope, pricing etc... and immediately after that the secreatary given me all the quotations etc... oh dear... no one to assist me .. what do I do...

Never mind... not to panic.. and suddenly, here came the Property Exec and given me a bunch of document - scope of work for some work at our southern office. Here it goes...

And.. this afternoon is the Departmental Meeting which I have to attend and to report the progress. Where in the world is my clerk..

But... I think I like the challenge and my current job..

Today is my last day... not in the company but in MIS Section. I have been in the same section for the past 16 years! My working life is about to change from next week..

I'll be heading the Purchasing Section from next week onwards. I have a mixed feeling... sad to leave MIS Section.. excited to face a new challenge. Frankly speaking, I have almost zero experience in purchasing. Of course, I purchased a lot of household stuff and do groceries etc!

There would be 2 subordinates.. I hope they would assist me in my new field. And again.. I would be shifting to another cubicles.. Anyway, I would like to thank everyone in the Section including our MIS Head for the support during my tenure in MIS Section (chewahh).

It seems that a lot of new challenge are waiting for me.. What do I do first? By the way, where is my JD??
