berbakul-bakul nikah favor... I put a sachet of potpourri, a cupcake and a box of sweets inside each bag..

Cupcakes as one of the hantaran... cantik bangat especially the two swans... also from here.... Thank you sooo much Zarina sebab sudi menerima tempahan I... siap janji jumpa kat tol Bangi lagi nak deliver the cupcakes. My sister pun suka the swan tu...

Flower girls..

Pak Andam..

Pelamin

This is the pelamin that was done by the Pak Andam... later I will introduce the Pak Andam ya... .. my sister's classmate and also my junior prefect masa kat KGV dulu-dulu...

Daun-daun hijau tu bukan nya artificial tau... melainkan yang segar-segar belaka... sila abaikan cushions yang bersepah-sepah tu ya.... oh ya... we use our daybed yang sedia ada kat rumah as the tempat duduk pengantin...

Bekas hantaran

Jangan terkejut... hantaran ni bukannya bertingkat tinggi macam ni... I cuma tindih-tindih kan gabus tu sebelum sudahkan gubahan seterusnya....

This is the bekas hantaran yang sudah siap dijahit...

I suka betul dengan bunga-bunga kecik kat tepi gabus tu....

Sangkar...

Cantik tak??

We hanged at the centre front of the porch... ada satu lagi macam sarang burung was also hanged in front of the entrance...

Dalam sangkar tu tak de burung... tapi a bulb lampu... so malam... switch on the light... it was sooo beautiful... tak de gambar la pulak...

The first time I saw this type of sangkar was at Nilai 3, I terus suka sangat. Ada warna putih and hitam.. but I like the hitam gelap one... it was beautifully decorated with english roses and was hanged with orhanza ribbons berjurai-jurai. Cantik sangat!

The above sangkar is done exactly like the one that I saw at Nilai 3.. I bought the sangkar without the flowers. The artificial flowers was bought separately and balik rumah I pun deco, tirulah macam kat kedai tu... bolehlah walaupun not 100% sama..

That was one of the deco during Adik's wedding.

After the wedding I plan to hang that sangkar kat taman mini belakang rumah...

Ada orang kata, tak elok ada sangkar... betul ke???... I malas nak percaya...

Wedding checklist...

How I wish I could do flower arrangement like the above ... (picture from google)

Since the past couple of months, I dah macam mak pengantin... most of my colleagues gelarkan I... maklumlah... mak kan dah tak ada.... bukan saja kakak pengantin... sibuknya macam nak dapat menantu...

Right after the bertunang early January this year, I dah start sibuk prepare the checklist...

I called it Adik's Wedding checklist.... to those out there yang nak naik pelamin bolehlah kita share bersama-sama checklist yang tak seberapa ni... silakan...

1. Date - Nikah (26 March), reception (27 March) & bertandang (28 March)

2. Venue - Nikah, bertandang (@ home)

3. Catering - majlis nikah and reception - from Tampin

4. Canopies - from Sanggar Gemalai

5. Bridal make-up - make-up from Andaman (cum wedding coordinator) in Nilai (our old friend masa sekolah KGV dulu-dulu)

6. Decor - house (on our own) & pelamin, bilik pengantin by the wedding coordinator

7. Photographer - hired from KL

8. Baju Pengantin - nikah, reception, bertandang - laces bought in Bandung & beaded chiffon in KL, tailor in Seremban

9. All in the families outfits - all materials bought in Bandung, tailor in KL, Shah Alam, Seremban and Tampin

9. Favors - nikah (I prepared a white lace sachet to be filled with orchid scented potpourri - this sachet will be put together in a small paper bag together with some sweets and a cupcake from here & reception (small oval weaved rattan box with cover (bought in Bandung for less than RM1.00 after puas tawar-menawar) to be filled with coloured shredded paper and a telur for the guests & rombongan pengantin lelaki, and for the main table - we bought a light yellowish satin tissue box cover, also bought in Bandung

10. Hantaran - for him (9 dulang - with so-called English theme la kunun... akak tengah pulun buat lah ni...

11. Bunga pahar - reception & bertandang - bunga pahar bought from ZC Creation in Nilai 3, we bought 4 x 50 pcs = 200 pcs altogether, boleh tahan harganya!

12. Invitation cards - we managed to get a nice & cheap blank light-englishyellowish card from Bandung (after penat mengukur jalan kat bandung tu!) and got it printed at here. We considered this as cheap, all in satu card less than RM1.00 boleh??!

13. Cake - hantaran - beautiful cupcakes from here & acara potong kek (acara keluarga) - 3 tiered from KL

14. Hand bouquet - for the bride from the wedding coordinator collection & flower girls (8 org) - we bought from ZC Creation in Nilai 3

15. Ada lagi tak yang tertinggal ??? - please suggest.... akak dah pening ni....

Bandung... Day 1

There were sooo many laces.... all photos are taken at one of the shops inside the Pasar baru...

Lace yang kat beheaded mannequin ni sungguh... canteeekkk

and .....akak yang kepenatan, berehat di sofa nan empuk bersama-sama dengan beg-begnya...

... and the owner of the kedai yang melambai-lambai kegembiraan sebab dapat duit berjuta-juta rupiah.... and the customer (the bride-to-be) yang tersenyum kelat sebab duit dah banyak abis...

..the restroom yang bersih nan indah dengan pohon buluh lagi....

The AirAsia landed at the Bandara Husien Sasteranegara Bandung at about 11 a.m. local time (my watch was still Malaysian time 12 noon, late by one hour), our supir Asep was already waiting for us with a card board stating my sister's name on it..

We reached our hotel, unloading our bags and checked in. After the qasar and jamak done, we off to Pasar Baru. Our supir parked the mpv at the complex parking lot at Lantai 7. As we all tak lunch lagi... so apa lagi we search for our lunch. Our supir recommended a restaurant at Lantai 6. We ordered nasi goreng and fruit juices. The nasi goreng were soooo sedap and so were the juices. But the supir ordered something different... lupa namanya tapi something macam kita punya nasi dengan kangkung goreng belacan but ada additional rencah... pun sedap banget..

The funny thing was... finally we all dok kecek kangkung goreng belacan pak supir tu sebab punyalah sedapnya... ok enough bab makan-makan...

After makan, our headache begun..... punyalah banyak kedai jual kain lace.... cantik-cantik semuanya (above photos)... we were there until kedai tutup at about 7 p.m. local time.

.Sebenarnya.. entry ni dah lama (basi..) tapi I still want to post it...

Cuba teka.... high ....over the rainbow... blue sky... ke manakah gerangan destinasi saya..??

the padi fields... cantikkan... macam kat Kedah je... no...

mana lagi... destinasinya kalau nak buat persiapan untuk wedding... Bandung...

Almaklumlah tak lama lagi is Adik's wedding... so... we all adik-beradik had planned earlier to fly to Bandung. Sambil jalan-jalan bolehlah shopping barang-barang for the wedding. If you ask me whether worth going as far as Bandung to search for the wedding preaparations, I would say... terpulanglah pada yang empunya diri... apa yang nak dibeli...

.

As for us, the 3D 2N trip to Bandung was sooooo tiring (happy) ... we almost got what we wanted... Oh lupa... one tip ...you must have a proper checklist of things to search/buy before you go. Start browsing of the things over here before going there..

InsyaAllah I will share some of the photos while we shopped (like crazy) for laces, wedding favor, nikah favor etc. over there.... murah banget...
