Alahai Sarah....

This morning I got a phone call from a cikgu sekolah. She introduced herself but I dah macam tak dengar dah sebab jantung terus berdebar-debar bila dengar cikgu called (tak ingat nama apa) dari sekolah (tak sure sekolah rendah ke sekolah menengah) macam berhati-hati menyusun kata nak inform I something ... ini mesti kes kecemasan ni.... (note : I ni cepat panik/fobia kalau dpt phone call from school)

teacher : "anak puan jatuh....bla ...bla sebab kawan-kawan gurau tarik kerusi...bla ...bla"

mama : "eh kan dia tengah exam... masa bila pulak jatuh kerusi... dia dah habis exam ke belum?"

(note : I was refering to Nadia, kan tengah PMR ni.. at that moment she is sitting for Geography paper)

teacher : "exam? dia belum exam lagi...." (the teacher sounded soooo... confused)

mama : "eh ni sekolah menengah ke rendah ni? minta maaf cikgu sebab tak perasan cikgu cakap anak yang mana"

teacher : "anak puan Sarah Aisyah kan.. tahun 5 delima"

mama : "ya... sarah ...maaf saya ingatkan kakak dia nadia..." (malunya.. I... tulah lain kali dengar baik-baik apa orang nak beritahu)

.... and the conversation continued a couple of minutes after that, which later ended by the teacher suggesting that I bawak sarah for an X-ray.. I thanked the teacher and hung the phone. I immediately called my husband and my husband promised to fetch her from school. tak yah balik naik bas sekolah. Babah dia pulak bila dengar ada orang buat anak dara dia jatuh, terus naik angin tanya sapa nama budak2 tu... I cakap sabarlah... takkan you nak marah anak orang tanpa usul periksa dulu cerita sebenar .... hai... cepatnya nak naik angin....

Just now I called home.. and Sarah sounded o.k cuma sakit punggung je... ingat ada yang patah ke... buat suspen je... the two boys yang tarik kerusi dia bagi dia jatuh tu masing-masing kena rotan tangan 5x dgn cikgu... La... tak pasal-pasal kena pukul....

Tomorrow, sarah would joint the 2-day rombongan Puteri Islam sekolah to Cameron Highlands. She's so excited and looking forward for the school trip...Dah siap ajak malam ni shopping kudap-kudapan untuk dibawa sepanjang perjalanan...

Taman Rekreasi MPS

This afternoon, after Friday Prayer at 3.00 p.m. we sent off nadia to the Perkhemahan PMR organised by her school. The camp was held at the Taman Rekreasi Majlis Perbandaran Seremban (MPS), nearby the Lake Garden. We never been to that taman rekreasi before. Ada jambatan gantung lagi and also batu batu for our kaki tu....

After the registration habis, we went off and singgah at the one of the best cendol in Seremban... The building of the restaurant is green. Sarah and me ordered Cendol pulut while babah and Hajar ordered ABC. We also ordered the Rojak Mee. Sedap. But.. I've taken no photos la...

Before that for lunch I cooked Kari Kepala Ikan. Oh..forget to mention that I was on leave today. It was not only the head but the whole body of the ikan merah from head to the tail. I save 4 potong of the ikan merah untuk di goreng nanti...

Inilah group yang paling fofular kat sekolah KGV, Seremban... masa ni Form 4 in 1984... (from L to R) Noraiha, Norlida, myself, Noriza Abas, Shazlina and Noriza Zakaria.

Sebenarnya I have loads of photos taken during those days, tahulah kan masa tu sikit-sikit nak pose, pantang ada yang bawak kamera...

Budak tetap budak... asyik nak memanjat je in between match... cikgu siap jerit-jerit tak bagi main panjat-panjat... sebab takut penat nak lawan netball...

Mama ... as usual ... penat tunggu tepi padang... mula syok tangkap gambar sendiri....

Assistant coach (agaknya la) tengah beritahu strategi...

And.... they won!!!! (I did not take any photo because dah penat)... Ni beratur nak ambik hadiah...

Johan for the Parlimen Rasah (maklumlah Tadika Kemas (government))...... all four matches menang... tak sangka la pulak... tak rugi I berpanas-panas on that Sunday...

Gotong Royong

Yesterday, as early as 8.15 a.m. Hajar, my hubby and me were on our way to Hajar's kindy ada gotong royong.. As previous year, memo from the school says boleh bawak anak pokok, pasu, or peralatan bercucuk tanam..

I brought two abondoned clay pots and a few anak-anak pokok but not suitable to plant at kindy because the plant has torn on its leaves and finally the anak pokok later became rebutan among moms. I also brought cangkul and pencakar rumput. It was quite fun, with parents got to know each other and share stories of our kids. Yesterday only I knew that Hajar is one good netball player. The 'coach' (one of the parent) told me that Hajar always be the pemain contoh kononnya but she still have to work on her feet, always bergerak which is not allowed in netball. OK lah I said, I'll get the sister, Nadia which played for the school to train Hajar on this.

Actually the gotong-royong is to clean up the school compound and to beautify the landscape. The men do the tougher work like potong pokok mangga and bakar all the sampah. Nasib baik the neighborhood that report to JAS. We the moms tanam pokok bunga and alih-alih pasu bunga sambil bersembang-sembang... biasalah...

After almost 2 hours of sweating, it was makan time. Eloklah dah berpeluh, makan nasi lemak! We ate sampai kenyang and tapau some more. Tak payah masak for lunch.

After we left the school, terus ke laundry shop to sent Hajar comforter sebab ada kucing kencing! and do some groceries at the nearby supermarket. Ada very special offer... the Kraft's cheese spread is now sold at half price from it's usual RM8.99 and now at RM 4.50.

I like cheese. What about you?

Hajar's Coloring Contest, Glittering Stickers and The other side of midnight

During the weekend, Hajar participated along with her classmates at Seremban Parade for the colouring contest organised by the Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Seremban. As usual she won again but third prize. As I normally have said, as long as she wins any of the prizes that is alright with her. I was always be with her at any time she enter the contest. And she wins!

The night before the contest she was like not feeling well. Alamak! Hajar demam la.. We were at the Bookstore and I realised that she was not as energetic as usual she would. I was looking at the book shelf of the children's section when I came across an activity book which consist of a few pages of glittering stickers. I better buy for her, I thought. In case she won't be able to be at the colouring contest tomorrow. She would have a new activity as a substitute. I did and also did for myself, another Sidney Sheldon's The other side of Midnight. I have started reading it today. By the way, I have finished with the Bloodline. It was a fantastic fiction and I enjoyed each of the pages.

The next morning, Hajar woke up early and I was quite surprised that she was o.k. tak demam lagi. So, bolehlah pergi colouring contest tu. We went there, collect the prize, had our lunch at the foodcourt and we returned home. I slept until late evening sebab kenyang and penat.

Hajar and Sarah... they won..

Yesterday, I took half a day leave (afternoon) from office just to be at Hajar's kindy. They were having an annual general meeting to select the school's new committee members and also to discuss the activities for the children throughout the year. While all the parents in the meeting the children are made busy at the coloring contest next door. The meeting ended after an hour. Before the meeting started, we had sort of Sesi ceramah of Keibubapaan and mendidik Anak-anak. It was really informative and good initiative by the school.

Hajar as usual, were so eager for the coloring contest and fuuhh! nasib baik menang. Bukan apa, kalau orang lain dapat hadiah, dia tak dapat, I have to give 1001 reasonsof why she's not getting any prize. As long as she got a present, tak kiralah hadiah saguhati ke... what really matters to her... dapat hadiah! She got first prize and she does not really bother the number... until I told her that she won 1st prize only then she jumped for triumph!!!!

Sarah.... she has turn coloured... from what she called perang2 (perasan) to gelap! her babah used to called her now. Why... for the past 2 weeks she has been in the athletic held at Stadium in Paroi, Seremban. She could sprint quite fast, I would say... Tomorrow she would be receiving the medal for the relay 4x400m, if I am not mistaken. By this time I am typing my posting, she had already fallen asleep... penat sangat lah tu...
